Welcome to Letters and Lunches from the Loire which includes recipes, a glimpse into the day in the life of running Chez Teresa/A Taste d’Angleterre a restaurant/tea room/bed and breakfast and boutique located in Fontevraud l’abbaye in the Loire Valley.
Here at Chez Teresa we offer cooked vegetarian breakfasts, light lunches, afternoon cream teas and by reservation evening meals. We cook with the freshest of ingredients most of them organic (agricultural biologique) and sourced in the main from our fabulous local fruit and vegetable markets.
Elegant dining at Chez Teresa
At Chez Teresa we specialise in vegetarian and fish dishes and with a passion for baking you can be sure that we will serve you the best patisserie, scones and breads possible. Our style is British/French fusion.
Prices range from a three course lunch for 12 euros 50, to an afternoon tea to include sandwiches, scones or patisserie and tea or coffee for 9 euros 80 to a three course evening meal for 17, euros 50 for three courses. A la carte is also available all day.
We also offer Bed and Breakfast in our delightful en-suite Chambre Flora. (60 euros a night for 2 persons to include a light, continental breakfast)
